1 Star is because technician arrived fast. Called Tai’s Service because my detached garage door would not open. Upon arrival, tech manually opened door and told me garage door “transmitter” was broken and that manufacturer parts were too rare to order. Tech said I could pay him almost $500 to replace it with a new opener. Tech came to this conclusion without even touching the garage door opener one time. I opted to not pay the $500 for a new garage door opener, so the tech charged me a $35 fee for arriving. Tech was still parked on my street when I started to attempt to fix garage door opener myself. After about 2 minutes of random tinkering (I didn’t know what I was doing), I was able to get the cable to relatch into place and the garage door started working without incident. All while tech was still on the same street. No refund given. Would go with another service provider as I felt there was an immediate conclusion to “replace” at full cost instead of diagnosing, which took minimal effort by an untrained person. Hope this helps other avoid falling for Tai’s Apple-like scam.

Tal was very kind and professional and explained everything in detail and what was wrong with our garage door and what it needed. Tal came the next afternoon on time at the time we agreed on and fixed our garage door perfectly it now works like it is new again. His prices are very reasonable and affordable. Generally I prefer working with people to a machine, but it did the job fairly efficiently and reasonably straightforward/easy to use. Prices seemed a little on the high end considering a human doesn't even have to do anything, but the keys all 3 worked fine when later tested, and it was convenient.

Some of us remember that duplicating a key came with the stress that the duplicate may not work. The key guy would say to go home and "test it." Not with Minute Key. I know for certain that when I create duplicate keys on their super accurate kiosks that I don't have to test them to be sure they work.....they always do! Nice job designing the kiosks Minute Key. As an engineer I respect that attention to detail. They're all over, easy to use and relatively fast. Nice service!

Very happy customer! Greg solved sticky door/iffy deadbolt problem. Several factors resolved and now its perfect. A little pricey but better than having a so-so handyman botch it up further. They did good with my mom's old unlockable security door too. The best in town. 🙂

I bought an old 1956 mosler safe that had no keys for the drawer inside and a door cubby.chip set to work making a key for each from scratch.i am amazed at his and others knowledge. If you have a lock issue don't go anywhere except to pauls.you will leave very pleased. Thanks again chip.your awesome

It was a last minute call at our new home and I couldn’t get the safe open to move it. They kindly helped to get the safe open over the phone. They not only came within a couple hours but they moved the safe, installed an easier to use keypad and re- keyed the whole house. Great guys, super knowledgeable and excellent customer service. I hired a new guy and needed a special key made for him for cell sites, tried several places in the bay area then reached out to Paul's, not only did they carry the blanks, they also carried the lock cylinders and he had the key waiting for me when I arrived... On top of that the key was roughly half what everyone else was charging. Can't recommend them highly enough, great shop.
